I just thought that I'd post a picture of what happens when a diesel engine is over fueled. Over fueling can be caused by a FICM or injector malfunction or, as in this case, improper tuning of an engine with an aftermarket programmer by the driver.
Over fueling a diesel engine causes excessive heat which in this case galled a piston. This could have been avoided and is a very costly mistake.
