My son and daughter-in-law bought a bank owned house that had a bunch of junk left by the former owners. I thought that I would help out so we loaded my pickup and I headed to the landfill. I jumped up on the tailgate, grabbed a large, heavy bag with both hands and turned to toss it off the back. When I did, I stepped on a 5 gallon bucket lid that was underneath it, inside up, and it slid. As my foot went off the end on the tailgate, the bucket lid stopped at the edge and it snagged my calf tearing the skin. When I looked down, all I saw was my calf muscle totally exposed. After a 911 cal, the paramedics got it cleaned and bandaged and I headed to the hospital. After a week in a walking boot, it's healing nicely.
